Ski Lessons

ONC ski lessons and tour activities are run by volunteer members in good standing with the club. These activities, however, may not meet the needs or schedules of all newcomers.  Below is a list of additional organizations with whom we have had good experiences for lessons and learning how to ski tour:

AXCS Index The American Cross Country Skiers (AXCS) is a non profit membership organization based in Bend, Oregon.

Cross Country Skier Magazine Homepage   The online version of the magazine.

Cross Country Ski Areas Association  Maintains list of Nordic ski areas in USA, Canada, Scotland, and France.

National Park Service  Links to most of the national parks.

Northwest Ski Club Council NWSCC promotes the participation in snowsports and other year around activities by promoting its member ski clubs. Currently NWSCC has approx. 30 member clubs in the Pacific Northwest with over 8,000 skiers and snowboarders.

Pacific Northwest Ski Association Schedule of alpine and Nordic races in the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia.  Also the schedule for the American Ski Marathon Series.

rec.skiing.nordic  A usenet group devoted to nordic skiing and equipment.
