 Audubon Society of Portland  Very active organization with numerous trips and activities.  Check out the volunteer program.

 Leave No Trace  The mission of the Leave No Trace (LNT) program is to promote and inspire responsible outdoor recreation through education, research, and partnerships.  The program is managed by LNT Inc., a non-profit organization located in Boulder, Colorado. LNT Inc. oversees memberships, marketing, fundraising and program development efforts.

 NTARP  Northwest Trail Archive and Restoration Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating advocates for the protection of forest ecosystems on public lands through the vehicle of historic trails. NTARP organizes and co-sponsors outdoor events in unprotected wild areas in Oregon, Washington and northern California. NTARP also keeps a map archive through which trail data is organized and dispersed upon request to interested parties.

 Oregon Natural Desert Association  ONDA's mission is to promote the preservation, protection and rehabilitation of Oregon's arid-land environment and to educate the general population on the values of preserving the natural arid-land environment.

 Oregon Natural Resources Council (ONRC)  ONRC mission is to aggressively protect and restore Oregon's wild lands, wildlife, and waters as an enduring legacy.
