Location

We had four students and five instructors for our first Learn-to-Ski of the season.  We had postponed it for fear the conditions would be lousy, but a tree-cutting trip showed it would be fine, so we went ahead despite the continued snow drought.  Conditions were near perfect for lessons with bright sunshine, warm temps, 1+ foot of soft snow that tracked perfectly with just a  little icing up.  We got the lesson done in 1-1/2 hours then headed off for a 2-3 mile flat and comfortable tour through the woods.  This was exactly the kind of introduction to the pleasures of XC skiing that draws people into the sport and makes them want more.
