Trillium Lake Shelter
Approximately three years ago ONC/Portland initiated a process to build a warming hut at the overflow campsite area near the Trillium Lake damsite. After obtaining a environmental site analysis at a cost of $3000.00 the project has stalled. Now the ONC Board has an offer to relinquish/delay our project and in exchange a private firm will build a shelter in the same location. Campbell Springs Ranch(CSR) owns 160 acres west of Trillium Lake and in addition to developing a kids camp on its own property would like to obtain a Special Use Permit for the entire overflow campsite area, which would include the ONC shelter site. CSR would then build a shelter which it would use during the summer months and during the winter the shelter would be open to the general public as a warming hut. Comments, questions, and discussions are invited regarding this issue.
