Nordic Issues September 2010 - Washington Sno-Park reciprocity
Washington Department of Parks and Recreation provided notice of a change in the regulations for the Washington Sno-Park program that will impact reciprocity with other states. Washington looked at programs of neighboring states and found that current programs were not truly reciprocal: the programs provide different services with different fee structures. Washington expects their rule change to become effective December 2010 at which time the reciprocity with Oregon and other states would end. Rather than change reciprocity midway through the winter, the information contained in Oregon’s Sno-Park program brochure, webpage, and permit will be updated before the 2010-11 winter season.
