Logging operations will affect Sno-Parks and roads on Ochoco National Forest

Two timber sale operations will affect the Snowmobile and Nordic ski trails in the Ochoco Divide and Walton Lake Sno-Park areas. Mark’s Creek Sled Hill will also be impacted by truck traffic hauling large loads on FS road 2630.

Operations and hauling may occur up to seven days a week at all locations.

The work occurring in the Ochoco Divide and Mark’s Creek areas should be completed by the end of December, however the Walton Sno-Park work may continue through March 2012. During this time many roads will be plowed to allow access for the logging operations. Temporary road closures may be enacted to ensure public safety. Please use caution when visiting these areas.
