Pikers PeakTime & Change on Mt Adams - Mt. Adams is like an old friend to Darryl Lloyd, who grew up at its base and started hiking its meadows and ridges as a 6-year-old in the late 1940s. Over a lifetime he has hiked, climbed, guided and photographed almost every nook and cranny on the mountain, from its deep forests to jagged ridges, shrinking glaciers and the summit ice-cap. He’s a rare witness to dramatic changes on Mt. Adams and how people use the area.

Darryl's presentation will go back in time more than 100 years to when the first photographs and a book was published about Mt Adams. As a professional photographer and a passionate advocate for the protection of the mountain, Darryl will share a remarkable collection of photos and stories.

The Sense of Place lecture series seeks to foster deeper connections to our landscape and to each other via speakers who represent a variety of industries and perspectives.
